Projects

At The Lampe Foundation, every project is built around one mission: developing the next generation of athletes and coaches. From youth tournaments to international camps and coaching clinics, we create opportunities that inspire growth, teamwork, and lifelong skills both on and off the court.

The L2X2C is designed to support the growth of young basketball players worldwide, with rules that rapid development into 5×5. In both women’s and men’s categories.

The tournament can be held at any time of the year and in any location worldwide. Games are played either indoors or on outdoor courts.

The Lampe Challenge is an international invitational tournament held annually in Stockholm, bringing together some of the best youth teams from the Nordic region and across Europe. Since its launch, the tournament has welcomed teams from over 15 countries, including Spain, Poland, Turkey, Germany, and even China, making it one of Scandinavia’s most diverse basketball events.

Named after Maciej Lampe—the first player raised in Sweden to be drafted into the NBA—the tournament celebrates both his legacy and the spirit of challenge, as teams from different nations compete at the highest youth level. Organized proudly by Hammarby Basket, the Lampe Challenge has grown into a premier showcase of future basketball stars.

The 20th edition will take place on 29–31 May 2026, with age groups ranging from U12 to U19. Each year, the tournament is filled to capacity (160 teams in 2025!), offering not only top-level competition but also an unforgettable cultural and sporting experience in the heart of Stockholm.
